BlueInGreen Named Finalist for 2017 China BlueTech Water Innovation Awards

Arkansas-based water treatment technology company recognized for its innovative solutions and market readiness in China

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (May 11, 2017) – BlueInGreen®, provider of the world's most efficient method of delivering dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide and ozone into water, has been named a finalist for the 2017 China BlueTech™ Water Innovation Awards. The annual competition recognizes innovative water technology companies capable of impacting the Chinese market.

Numerous international companies were reviewed based on their products, IP position, technology stage, market potential, competitive advantage and potential market opportunities in China. After deeming its solutions “ready” for international growth, BlueInGreen was one of few companies selected as a finalist.

“We’re honored to be named a finalist for the China BlueTech Water Innovation Awards,” said BlueInGreen CEO and President Chris Milligan, PE. “It’s a very special opportunity to gain international exposure for our technology, and we look forward to sharing our industry-leading solutions with the rest of the world.”

The finalists will be scored by an expert panel of judges based on scalability, competitiveness, strength of management, sustainable advantage over time and other key market factors. The panel will award two category winners - the Innovative Technology Award and the China Market Readiness Award - on June 7 as part of the Innovation Pavilion at Aquatech China in Shanghai.

Aquatech China, the largest international exhibition for process water, drinking water and wastewater, draws over 70,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors from around the globe, including environmental leaders, clean-tech investors, government officials and industry influencers.

“The focus on market readiness is key,” said Stefanie Poelmann, Marketing Communications Manager at Aquatech Global Events. “This is not just an innovation award. We are looking for technologies which are a good fit for the Chinese market - or which, in the case of Chinese technologies are ready to be adopted elsewhere.”

Founded in 2004, BlueInGreen’s solutions for aeration, pH adjustment, oxidation and odor control have been celebrated by end users and industry leaders alike, winning the Water Environment Federation's (WEF) Innovative Technology Award in 2010, as well as the Global Cleantech Cluster Association’s (GCCA) Grand Prize in 2015.

“It’s not BlueInGreen’s first time to be celebrated on a global stage,” said Milligan. “And with such an elite team and innovative technology, it will not be our last.”
