BlueInGreen Names Scott Goodson As CFO

Water treatment solutions company taps former Walmart Senior Director to oversee strategic vision and thought

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (November 21, 2017) - BlueInGreen (BIG), provider of the most efficient solutions for oxygenation, pH adjustment, oxidation and odor control, has named Scott Goodson its Chief Financial Officer. Goodson will oversee high-level business strategy, growth plans and investor relations to best position the company for continued success in the industrial and municipal markets.

Goodson brings over 20 years of experience in business operations, strategic planning, tactical execution and technology implementation to BIG. Prior to joining the company, he served as a Senior Director of Walmart Technology, responsible for various global transformation efforts, including supplier management, sourcing and procurement, real estate investment and management, integrated retail platforms and manufacturing.

Goodson also worked within Walmart International, Sam’s Club and Walmart US Stores. In these divisions he led teams responsible for Operations Finance, Purchase Leverage and Financial Planning & Analysis and brings with him experience and proven results in strategic business planning and operations, supplier relations, financial reporting and investment management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Kansas.

"From top to bottom, BlueInGreen is built to disrupt the industry,” said President & CEO Chris Milligan, PE. “Though our turnkey technology and award-winning solutions are both integral to accomplishing that goal, we are also focused on developing alternative delivery models, designed to allow more clients to capitalize on BIG’s short- and long-term cost savings. Scott’s passion and expertise will be instrumental in this endeavor.”

In addition, Goodson has helped establish and solidify numerous innovative start-up organizations through the use of transformational technology, change management efforts, strategic direction and operational execution. Throughout his career, he has consistently delivered substantial results in both small- and large-scale organizations in a wide variety of industries, business structures and market types.

“From both a personal and professional standpoint, Scott shares our values, our goals, and our mission,” said National Sales Manager Thomas Sichz. “With BIG’s exponential success and Scott’s proven track record, we’re in an ideal position to make a lasting impact on how people, cities and businesses collectively approach water treatment.”

“I am profoundly honored and humbled to be part of BlueInGreen,” Goodson said. “The company has a compelling mission, a world-class technology and incredibly creative minds at work at every level of the company. I’m happy to be here at BIG, but more importantly, I’m happy to be part of its story. We are scientists, and it’s our application of science that not only makes us different, but makes us better.”

Co-founded by two University of Arkansas professors in 2004, BIG designs and builds the most efficient water treatment solutions in order to lower the total cost of treatment while improving water quality. The company has expanded its core technology to include seven flagship solutions, capable of countless applications in the oxygenation, pH adjustment, oxidation and odor control markets.

BIG currently has over 40 installations in operation, treating nearly 1 billion gallons of water each day and collectively saving end users over $20 million annually. BIG’s solutions continue to be sought out, installed and celebrated throughout the industry, winning the 2010 Water Environment Federation (WEF) Innovative Technology Award and the 2015 Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) Grand Prize, in addition to being named a finalist at the 2017 China BlueTech Awards.

"I’m very happy to have Scott join our industry-leading team of designers, engineers, technicians and salespeople as we continue to perfect the water cycle,” Milligan said. “But anyone familiar with BIG knows that our ultimate goal is not to simply disrupt the market. It’s to improve upon it.”
